Lenovo Z6 Pro Review

Lenovo has been one of the biggest names in the computing world. They make excellent computing devices which are the favourites of many people. I myself is a Lenovo consumer, and I must tell you, I am completely satisfied. But little did we know that Lenovo was going to enter the smartphone market. When they did that, I was very happy as we can expect the same satisfying quality. This article you can know about the Lenovo Z6 Pro Review.

It’s added new heights when they bought Motorola, another big yet dying name in the smartphone arena. Lenovo holds the steering wheel of Moto and led them out of danger. But during that process, Lenovo stopped their own production of smartphones.

But this year, Lenovo is back with a punch. Hold on, hold on! They have not discontinued Moto! They have launched a new flagship under the Lenovo title. The brand new addition to the family is the Lenovo Z6 Pro.

It was launched in the first trimester of 2019. And since then you guys are asking me about the phone and write a detailed review as well. So here it is folks! I am going to review the Lenovo Z6 Pro.

Lenovo Z6 Pro Review: The Best of Lenovo!

Lenovo is considering the all-new Lenovo Z6 Pro as their new flagship model. As Lenovo is back with a bang, the specs are looking pretty awesome and breathe taking. I have just received a review unit and my first impression was, ‘WOW!’ Hand down. This device is so good looking that I went speechless for a while. I am dying to try this bad boy out.

AS you already know, I have a distinct method of reviewing a smartphone. I tend to examine certain criteria that are capable of foreshadowing the true capability of a certain smartphone. The criteria are:

  • Design
  • Display
  • Performance
  • Camera
  • Battery
  • Sensors and Other Features
  • Water Resistance

So as I am pretty anxious to try this phone out, let us not waste any valuable time and dive into the first segment, which is the design of the Lenovo Z6 Pro.

Design of Lenovo Z6 Pro: The Awesome Glass and Metal Finish!

I am not going to see the specs first. Rather, I would like to feel the phone in my hands. You guys know that I am not a huge supporter of good looking phones. I am a performance guy. But good art should be admired. As I am holding the phone, it is like shining in 4000 volts!

Now let us go through the specs and a checklist of mine. So, glass body; checked, metal frame; checked, cool gradient and flashy textures; double-checked!

The phone is a superb phone as far as the design is concerned. The front and the back is of glass, and the frame is an aluminium frame. However, the phone has been reported to not have any Corning Gorilla Glass protection. But having said that, the phone has a curved back which gives a cool illumination when the angle of the light is changed. The front part is a superb screen with minimal bezels and a dewdrop notch. We will discuss that later in the next segment.

The phone has a dimension of 6.20 inches in length, 2.94 inches in width and to finish things off, 0.34 inches in the breadth. So the phone is marginally thick, marginally. The phone is weighted at around 185 grams. So it is a slightly heavier than usual, which is completely negligible.

As for the attributes

The phone has a minimal bezel all around. On the right side, we have the power button, the volume adjustment rocker and the Hybrid SIM Tray. The left side, we have nothing literally. On the top, we have the all-important 3.5 mm headphone jack and the secondary noise cancellation microphone. The bottom, we have the speaker grills and the USB Type C connector.

On the front is the screen and on the back, we have the gorgeous looing camera module. The Camera module is initially a quad-camera setup, but the sensors add up, and some would say that it is a Penta camera phone. We will be talking in details about the cameras in the camera section.

Overall it is a winner in the design section. It is available in 2 colour variants; Red and Greenish blue. Now let us move on to the next segment, which is the display of the Lenovo Z6 Pro.

Display of Lenovo Z6 Pro: OMG AMOLED!

The Lenovo Z6 Pro is the latest flagship of Lenovo. As a flagship, it is expected to have the best screen tech on the planet. And Lenovo has not missed that checkmark as well.

In today’s market, AMOLED displays are the ultimate king in the smartphone world. Leading brands are using the same tech in their high and mid-range phone.

The Lenovo Z6 Pro comes with a super AMOLED display as well. The 6.39 inches Super AMOLED display comes in full HD resolution. (buy xanax in thailand) That means the resolution of the phone is 1080 pixels into 2340 pixels. The aspect ratio of the phone is 19:5:9. The screen has minima bezels. So the viewing experience is pretty awesome. The camera notch is very small and is a teardrop notch. The phone has a screen to body ratio almost close to 85.3%.

This screen support HDR10 contents so the video watching experience should be phenomenal. The colour contrast, correction and the brightness level are beyond my expectation. The brightness has been a great plus point of the screen. It is a very bright screen and worked pretty well in bright light conditions. This is expected from the AMOLED screens.

The notch does not bother the viewer very much as the viewing angle is very flexible. So that was all for the display of Lenovo Z6 Pro. Now let us move on to the next segment, which is undoubtedly my favourite one. We will see the performance of Lenovo Z6 Pro.

Performance of Lenovo Z6 Pro: The Flagship Snapdragon!

The all-new Lenovo Z6 Pro is equipped with some of the best components in the business. But having the best is not always fruitful if you cannot utilize those in an optimized manner. Can the Lenovo Z6 Pro live up to the expectation or it will fall down like many failures? We are going to find it out shortly.

As we now, the performance of a certain phone is based on the collaboration between the software and the hardware unit. So we are goi9ng to have a detailed look at what the phone has and how the software reacts to the components. So let us dig into it.

Lenovo Z6 Pro Review: Software

This phone runs in the attest Android version of Android 9, which is widely known as the PIE. The phone has a unique UI or User Interface, which is known as the ZUI. The UI version is ZUI 11. This phone has some extraordinary features which really suits the phone’s attire and reputation.

The most amazing part of the phone is that you can set up customized gestures for suitable needs. On the other hand, the UI is pretty much stock android. So there will be not many unnecessary apps which are going to be gathering around and make the phone jittery.

On the contrary, the phone is pretty smooth and heavily relies on Google Apps, which is normally a good thing.

Now let us see whether the software does proper justice to the hardware or not.

Lenovo Z6 Pro Review: Hardware

When I talk about hardware, I heavily concentrate on the chipset. The chipset is the high-end chipset manufactured by Qualcomm. The Chipset is Qualcomm Snapdragon 855. This 7 Nanometer chipset processed data on eight cores. That means it is an Octa-Core Processor. The first Kryo 485 core is clocked at 2.84 GHz. The next three Kryo 485 cores are considered as the performance cores, which are clocked at 2.42 GHz. The remaining four cores are also Kryo 485 cores which are clocked at 1.78 GHz. The Graphics processing unit is of Adreno 640.

This phone has a huge RAM and internal storage options. The RAM is of three variants; 6 GB, 8 GB and 12 GB. The internal storage is also of three variants, the 6 GB version comes with a 128 GB of internal storage, the 8 GB comes with a 256 GB storage and the high end 12 GB RAM comes with the staggering 512 GB of internal storage.

The phone is pretty fast as like other flagships, and the performance is top-notch—so full marks to the Lenovo team for producing yet another stunner. Now let us move on to the cameras.

The camera of Lenovo Z6 Pro: The Arguably best Portraits with Penta Cam Setup?

Yes, you heard it, right guys, this Lenovo Z6 Pro comes with some staggering configuration in the camera unit. The rear camera has a quad-camera module. And to spice things up, there is a TOF sensor. If we count that as a camera, then we have a Penta camera setup.

The main camera is a 28 mm wide-angle camera. It is of 48 Mega Pixels camera with an aperture count of f/1.8. The second camera is a telephoto lens. It is of 8 Mega Pixels with f/2.4 aperture. The third camera is a 12 mm Ultra-Wide camera. It is of 12 Mega Pixels with an aperture count of f/2.2. The last camera is a dedicated video camera of 2 Mega Pixels with an aperture count of f/1.8. The last but not the least comes the TOF 3D depth sensor. The front camera is an f/2.0 aperture 32 Mega Pixels camera with a wide-angle sensor.

Now I tell you beforehand. You will be BLESSED with camera performance. The cameras are just perfect as they can be in the pictures. The noise reduction, colour balance is just awesome. The TOF 3D depth sensor works like butter when it comes to depth sensing. The portraits are arguably the best as the edge detection was right on the spot. The videography can be done up to 4k at a frame rate of 30 frames per second. And from the front camera, you can shoot up to 1080 p with real-time HDR at a frame rate of 30 frames per second.

Now let us talk about the battery performance of the Lenovo Z6 Pro.

The battery of Lenovo Z6 Pro: the 4000 mAh Powerhouse

The phone has excellent battery life. It comes with a 4000 mAh battery. It is enough to give a full-day battery life. To power up this bad boy, we have a fast-charging capability. An 18 watts power brick is included inside the box.

Sensors and Other Features

The fingerprint sensor is under the display or on the display module and is pretty fast. The other sensors, like accelerometer, gyroscope sensor, proximity and compass, are included in the phone. There are other hepatic features lie smart gestures, face unlock and many more.

Lenovo Z6 Pro Review: Water Resistance

This phone has no official IP ratings so far. That is the only setback for the Lenovo Z6 pro. However, there are recent viral videos where the phone is resisting splashes. But I won’t recommend you to dump it inside the pool.

FAQs

  1. Is Lenovo Z6 Pro wireless charging supportive?

No, it has only fast charging support. No wireless charging capability is included.

  1. Does it support 5G?

Yes, it does.

Wrapping Things Up!

The phone is a really good phone. The performance is top-notch, and the camera is one of a kind. Adding everything up we come to the conclusion that it is a very good phone and I would recommend you to buy it.

It is priced around 330 US dollars, and the phone is available all over the world. So go out and grab your very own Lenovo z6 Pro.
