Hence, they have launched amazing phones over the years, and the fans are loving the products and the quality that the phone brings on the table. Here we will give you a complete idea about LG G6.

LG G6 is yet another marvelous creation of LG. They announced the phone in late February 2017, and the finished product hit the stores by the first week of April. This phone has some major benchmarks or milestones to set in the market, and I can wait to get my hands on one of these to give you guys and opinion of mine. As far as the review is concerned, rest assured that you will get the detailed review here on our website. So without wasting further time, let us dig into the review real quick.

LG G6 Review: The Marvel of LG!

As we speak, LG has been one of the leading trustworthy brands in the globe right now. People are very much satisfied with what LG has been offering them in the years. LG has been pioneering some cool technological advancements in the world with a motive to make our lives easy and technologically efficient.

LG G6 has certainly not been an exception. We have our review unit here with us today. Stay tuned guys because we will be analyzing some crucial aspects of the phone to judge whether it is worth your bills or not. The aspects which will be closely inspected are:

  • Design
  • Display
  • Performance
  • Camera
  • Battery
  • Sensors and Other Features
  • Water Resistance

Let me tell you first hand that the LG G6 Specs are really breathtaking from the top.  So, let us now move into the said aspects.

Design of LG G6: The Solid and Sleek Aluminum Wonder!

When I first saw the phone and held it in my hands, the feeling was awesome. The phone is itself a masterpiece as far as the design is concerned. Let me clear it out first hand that the phone we are reviewing today is a flagship smartphone of LG, and the specs will be mouth-watering, of course.

Moving on to the design again, the frame of the phone is made out of premium quality aluminum. So it is a sturdy phone and very comfortable to hold on to. The front and the back of the phone is glass built. The front side, which is the screen, of course, is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. And as for the back, the camera module and the rest of the back portion is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

The dimensions of the phone are 5.86 inches in length, 2.83 in width, and 0.31 inches in the breadth. This is a pretty handy phone, I would say, because it is about the perfect size of an ideal smartphone.

And

The edges of the phone are curved for a strong and supportive grip altogether. The fingerprint is rear-mounted and is placed just under the dual-camera module. The dual camera is separated by the dual-LED flash. On the left side of the phone, we have our power-adjustable buttons which are very premium in feel. The SIM Tray is on the right side of the phone.

Wait for a sec! Where is the bloody power button? The power button is underneath the fingerprint sensor! All it needs is a gentle push, and you will feel the button. LG does amaze the fans with treats like these. That’s why they are, in fact, LG!

Overall, I love the design and stability of the phone. It has been very comfortable to hold and is weighted around 163 grams. So that is not much of a weight.

The Display of LG G6: The 4K IPS LCD!

The display of the All-New LG G6 has been on the top end as we are using it for quite a significant time now, and I must tell you, you will not be disappointed. The display is an IPS LCD display of 5.7 inches with incredibly thin chins and size bezels. The exciting part of the display is that it is a 4k display with a resolution of 1440 pixels into 2880 pixels. The aspect ratio is 18:9 as per the standards are concerned. The screen to body ratio is almost 78.6%. The PPI Density is almost equivalent to 564.

The extra hectic feature of the smartphone is that it supports Dolby Vision and HDR10. The Always-On display allows you to see the time and important notifications all around the day without even bothering to unlock the phone.

So there is some serious tech going on with the screen, and I must tell you, the screen is a sheer treat for the users. It is very bright, and the 4K resolution helps to see finer details in the picture altogether. The brightness and the color management are dealt with by Dolby so we can get the best experience of the screen from the word go. It works excellent in the bright light conditions as well.

Overall it is certainly one of the best screens of 2017. And you will not be disappointed with the performance of the screen.

Lenovo K10 Note Review

The Performance of the LG G6: The Snapdragon Powerhouse!

We must always bear this in mind that the phone is the flagship smartphone of LG. So the performance will be top-notch as it is after all expected. But as we are reviewing this phone, it is mandatory to get the information highlighted for you. As you know, we go through the software and the hardware of the phone and try to have a clear understanding of what the phone is actually made of and how well the software and the hardware collaborate with each other.

The hardware of LG G6

As far as the hardware of the LG G6 is concerned, it has the attest chipset of Qualcomm Snapdragon 821. It is a 14 Nanometer chipset that runs with a Quad-Core Setup. The first two cores are clocked at 2.35 GHz, and the latter is clocked at 1.6 GHz Kryo. The GPU is of Adreno 530.

The RAM is of 4 GB, and there are three variants of Internal Storage; 32 GB, 64 GB, and 128 GB. So there are three models available in the market as per the internal storage is concerned. The SIM Tray is a dual SIM Tray with no SD Card slot. That means you cannot upgrade the storage by expanding it with external Micro SD Cards.

The software of the LG G6

The software of the LG G6 is very catchy and effective as far as we have used it so far. It rums on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat and is upgradable to Android 9.0 PIE. It runs on a custom skin of LG’s in house LG UX 8 UI. This skin has been very well organized as far as the app management and new features are concerned.

LG does not overwhelm with lots of new features on the first boost, like other tech giants like Samsung. Rather they chose to be well organized and add new features in the settings so that you can explore new things every day. It is very tempting because the simpler the User Interaction procedure is, the more people get involved or attached to the phone.

Overall I have been blown away with the performance of the LG G6. The phone has killer hardware with awesome software experience.

The camera of LG G6: The Camera to crave for!

LG has been doing a lot of stuff with their phone and especially the camera. In the G6, they have managed to pull off yet another amazing camera module, which is ranked right in the top shelf by far in the year 2017.

The rear camera is a dual-camera setup. The main camera is a standard camera of 13 Mega Pixels with an aperture count of f/1.8. The lens is a 1.2-micrometer lens with sensors like PDAF and 3 Axis Optical Image Stability. The second camera is an ultra-wide camera of 13 Mega Pixels with an aperture count of f/2.4. This 12 mm lens does not come with any Auto Focus technology.

The front-facing camera is 18 mm 5 Mega Pixels of an aperture of f/2.2. That’s about it.

As far as the picture quality is concerned, it is a flagship phone? What do we expect? Cheese Cakes? Jokes apart, I have been taking some photos with this phone ad I must tell you, the photos are awesome! No other words are needed to describe those. The selfies are fine and crisp as well.

The Videography can be done in 4k resolution up to 30 frames per second and 1080p in 30 fps for the front camera.

The video quality is top-notch; for the 3 Axis Image Stabilization, the outcome comes in very good condition, and the light and focus are just about perfect. Kudos to LG for doing a pretty good job with the camera in the all-new LG G6.

The Battery of LG G6

The All-new LG G6 comes with a 3300 mAh battery with 18 Watt fast charge supportive. The US models have wireless charging enable, that means you can charge the phone wirelessly. This is a very good feature as the phone does not require to get plugged or something like that. Just put the phone on the wireless charger, and it will start to charge itself wirelessly.

Sensors and Other Features

The fingerprint scanner is rear mounted and the home/power/lock button is installed right beneath it. The fingerprint scanner is pretty fast as far as the other sensors are concerned, it will be und=fair if some of the vital sensors would have been missed out. But it did not. Accelerometer, Gyro, Proximity, Compass, and Barometer are the sensors that are installed in this device. But I am not entirely sure why we would be needing a barometer in a smartphone. But still, we are using a flagship. Hectic features are always the plus point of it.

Water Resistance of LG G6

The phone is rated IP 68 as far as the water resistance is concerned. That means you can take the phone underwater up to 30 meters deep for a limited time. So, jump into the pool for some underwater shots.

Advantages and Disadvantages of LG G6

Advantages of the LG G6 are:

  • Great Body structure
  • Great 4K Screen
  • Awesome Camera
  • Fast charging Enabled
  • Water Resistant
  • Wireless Charging supportive

Disadvantage of the LG G6:

  • No dedicated power or lock button
