Oppo now has a new mid-range smartphone called Oppo A8 up on their shelve with some cool features that can make any die-hard Oppo fan in Nigeria drooling to have a feel of the device. This latest Android smartphone was officially launched on the 20th of December with a pretty tall 6.50-inch display that produces a screen resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. Even with all the cool features onboard, the expected price in Nigeria is still within the budget range.
Amongst the many fantastic features of the Oppo A8, the IPS LCD display is wide enough to give you the best visual experience. Although, some sources argued that it would have been better if the phone is armed with an AMOLED panel. But in any case, the display is still pretty much good. There is a waterdrop-styled notch that houses the front selfie shooter, and the screen has a 19:9 aspect ratio with a pixel density of 270 PPI.
For optics, Oppo A8 comes with triple rear camera setup, containing a 12MP main camera, a second 2MP camera, and a third 2MP camera with autofocus. The cameras take good and quality pictures, but don’t expect the pictures to be as sharp as what we have on the Huawei P40 or even the Redmi K30. The thing is, the extra megapixels on the aforementioned android smartphones would cost more to have them. So, to get cameras that sharp, you’ve got to up your budget a bit. On the front, the Oppo A8 sports an 8MP camera for selfies.
As far as the battery is concerned, the android smartphone is powered by a 4230mAh battery capacity that makes sure the phone have steady power for a whole day. Oppo A8 also runs Android 9 (Pie) operating system.
Oppo A8 is powered by an Octa-core processor with 4GB of RAM to ensure you get a lag-free performance. The smartphone also runs ColorOS 6.1 based on Android 9, along with a 128GB of onboard storage capacity that can be expanded upto 256GB via microSD card. The smartphone is a dual-SIM smartphone that accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM cards.
Connectivity options on the Oppo A8 include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Headphones, 3G, and 4G with active 4G on both SIM cards. Sensors on the phone include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, and fingerprint sensor.
Oppo A8 Price in Nigeria and Availability
Oppo A8 expected price is rumored to be $170, which is approximately N61,800 in Nigeria for the basic variant. The phone will be available in Azure and Black colours.
