There has been a constant wish of people to get the best and the most trustworthy brands under their hoods, which will also suit their pockets. This desire of having the moon in your own hands is not new. The Smartphone companies have noticed this desire as well. In this guide, we will show you Samsung M21 spaces.
When Samsung launched its smartphones in the market, all the eyes were fixed on them. Earlier, people only wished for a Galaxy phone. Some even sold valuable things or traded off just to acquire on. But the harsh reality was that the phones were very expensive. So they would have to settle in for a weaker brand with a weak spec.
But the time has changed, companies like Samsung have understood the hidden potential of the commoners. So they have gathered their thoughts and resources and started to make a new range of smartphones that are powerful yet budget-friendly.
Thus, they introduced the M Series. M stands for the millennial. Millennial is a strong word today. It represents people who can make a change in the world despite being a commoner. The M series smartphones are dedicated to those type of people who are willing to be the change.
The first season of the M Series was a huge hit. People rushed to the stores to buy their all-time desirable smartphones with the Samsung logo embalmed on the back.
The 2nd season has been very promising too. Samsung Galaxy M21 is a proud addition to this season. As a lot of you have requested, we will be reviewing the Samsung Galaxy M21 today. So stay tuned till the end.

Before moving on to further, let me inform the pricing first. The Samsung M21 will have a price tag around 220 US Dollars in the international market. Judging by the price point, it is a lower mid-budget smartphone. So, it should be decent in speed, should have a good display, a better battery backup and should be suitable for slightly heavy multitasking. If this phone meets up all these criteria, then I will consider this phone to be a worthy pick.
As you guys know, I will go through certain aspects which will be highlighting the capability of the smartphone. These are:
- Sensors and Other Features
- Water Resistance
We without wasting any more time, let us move on to the review real quick.
Design of Samsung M21: The Plastic Wonder!
As far as the design is concerned, the first thing which you will probably notice is the build quality. Of course, you cannot expect a phone at this particular price point to have an aluminium frame and a glass finish. We should settle in well with a plastic body. But that does not mean that we are downgrading. Plastic is a viable option to reduce weight and heat management.
The phone has a dimension of 6.26 inches in length, 2.96 inches in width and 0.35 inches in the breadth. As you can see, the phone is a bit thicker than its brothers. But the difference is almost unrecognized unless you measure it or compare it with a thinner one. The weight of the phone is around 188 grams. Yes, it is a bit heavier than usual. But within a week or so after usage, your hands will get used to it.
The backside is made out of beautifully textured plastic. And the front is, of course, the screen which has a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for additional protection.
Speaking about the attributes, the phone has an Infinity U notch on display. The earpiece is just above the notch. On the right side of the phone, we have the power cum lock button and the volume adjustment rocker. The feedback is quite good, to be honest. On the right side, we have the dual SIM Card Tray and the dedicated Micro SD Slot all together. The bottom behaves the all-important 3.5 mm headphone jack, the speaker grills and the USB Type C Connector. On the top, we have a secondary noise cancellation microphone.
The backside is where we have rear-mounted cameras. Samsung has decided to install a triple camera module this time, and that is looking promising indeed. The fingerprint scanner is also rear-mounted as well.
The phone is available in two colours. One is Midnight Blue, and the other one is the Raven Black. The Unit which we have right now for the review is the Midnight Blue version. The colour looks amazing, and it suits every hand indeed.
Looking at the design, I have to tell you that this phone is looking very promising. The design is pretty compacted and will suit in the hand of the people. Now let us move on to the next segment, which is the display of Samsung M21.

The Display of Samsung Galaxy M21: The AMOLED Surprise!
Samsung has been producing some amazing screens in the smartphone market. Some of their groundbreaking technologies which Samsung has introduced are AMOLED Displays. Many prominent brands also loved this tech, and they have been purchasing the screens for a long time.
Samsung also uses this same tech in their high-end devices. But lucky for you! They have installed the same display in the all-new Samsung Galaxy M21!
Yes, you have heard it right! This phone comes with a 6.4 inches Super AMOLED display. The display comes in full high definition. That means the resolution is 1080 pixels into 2340 pixels. There is a U shaped notch which Samsung named it Infinity-U Display. The side and the top and bottom bezels are pretty minimal, which gives us an infinity display experience.
The screen to body ratio is almost close to 84.2%. The aspect ratio is 19:5:9. It is a great display and one of the brightest in the same price point. It has been advertised as a Nit count of 420 nits. That means it is a pretty bright screen. It works decent in bright light conditions, and the picture quality, colour balance, image saturation and the combination of colours are very phenomenal.
Now let us move on to the next segment, which is perhaps one of the most significant criteria to judge a smartphone. That is the performance of the Samsung Galaxy M21.
The Performance of Samsung Galaxy M21: The Exynos Chipset with 6 GB RAM!
As we move on further, we are going to explore what the phone is actually made of. In order to get a full understanding of the performance of a particular phone, we will have to see the software unit as well as the components under the hood or in total the Hardware Unit. So without wasting any time, let us see what is under the hood of Samsung Galaxy M21.
The Hardware of Samsung Galaxy M21
The first thing which catches my eye when I open up a smartphone is the chipset. For this particular smartphone, Samsung has chosen to go for a chipset produced in their very own back yard. The chipset is Exynos 9611. This 10 Nanometer chipset runs in eight cores. This Octa-Core processor has a clock speed of 2.3 GHz for the first four cores which are Cortex-A 73. The rest four are clocked at 1.7 GHz, which are the Cortex-A 53s.
The RAM is available in two variants. One is the 4 GB variant, and the other is the 6 GB variant. The Internal Storage comes in two options; 64 GB and 128 GB. The 5 GB Variant comes with the 64 GB storage, and the 6 GB comes with the 128 GB internal storage. One can also expand the storage using the Micro SD Card Slot.
Now let us move the spotlight to the Software Unit of the Samsung Galaxy M21.
The Software of Samsung Galaxy M21
This phone runs in the latest Android version, which is the Android Version 10. The UI, which is usually run in all the latest Samsung Phones, is the One UI. It is a customized User Interface built especially for Samsung. It is almost the stock android, with some of the vital added features.
The User experience of this phone is pretty smooth. The Exynos 9611 chipset is a decent chipset as per the price point is considered. The speed is pretty decent, and all the illustrations are smooth. The visuals and multitasking experience is good enough.
Now let us see what the cameras are made of.
The Cameras of Samsung Galaxy M21: The Triple Cameras!
The Rear Camera is a triple camera setup. The main camera is a 26 mm wide-angle camera of 48 Mega Pixels. The aperture count is f/2.0. The second camera is a 12 Nano Meter Ultra-wide camera. It is of 8 Mega Pixels with an aperture count of f/2.2. The last and third camera is a depth sensor. It is of 5 Mega Pixels with an aperture count of f/2.2. The front-facing camera, AKA the Selfie Camera is a 26 mm wide-angle camera of 20 Mega Pixels. It has an aperture count of f/2.0.
As far as the camera performance is concerned, it is a typical decent camera which can generate a good image in proper light conditions. But it declines when the lights dim or in low light conditions. The video can be recorded up to 4k resolution at a frame rate of 30 frames per second. But there is no image stabilization available in this format. But when you record in 1080p in a frame rate of 30 frames per second, then there is gyro-EIS available for additional image stabilization. The Selfie camera clicks decent selfies on portrait mode, and the image quality is pretty crisp. The video can be done at a resolution of 1080p at a frame rate of 30 frames per second.
Now let us have a look into the power management unit and the battery of Samsung Galaxy M21.
The Battery of Samsung Galaxy M21
Maybe the best part of this phone is the battery of it. It has a beast-like 6000 mAh battery. It can provide enough juice to easily cross almost 48 hours of battery life on one charge. To charge this beast, Samsung has provided a 15 Watts fast-charging power brick in the box.
Sensors and Other Features
The fingerprint is rear-mounted and other sensors like accelerometer, Gyro, Proximity and Compass are included in the phone.
Phones in this particular price points are not accustomed to being a champion in all the sectors. For that very reason, this phone does not support any viable certification of water resistance. Suppose Samsung had chosen to include water resistance to this phone. Then the price will increase as the production cost will also raise.
Advantages and Disadvantages
The Advantages of Samsung Galaxy M21 are:
- Excellent Screen
- Great Battery life
- Decent Performance
The disadvantages of Samsung Galaxy M21 are:
- Plastic built
- Lacking in the Image Quality of the Rear Cameras
