A new Tecno smartphone is about to hit the Nigerian market with some cool specs and design. The phone is called Tecno Phantom 9. The device is the direct successor of Phantom 8 released in 2017. The new mid-ranger features a large display, fair battery capacity, an in-display fingerprint scanner. Reports gathered state that the phone may likely be launched officially in Lagos on July 4. Design and Display

From what we have seen so far from the leaked image of the new Phantom 9, the phone comes with a killer design, inspired by the aurora lights that illuminate the northern and southern hemispheres of the earth. The phone has a glass back panel with aluminum frames on the sides. The device will be available in three color options, which includes Blue, Red, and Black, with other beautiful shades.
The phone sports a big 6.4-inch AMOLED Full-HD+ display with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. The waterdrop notch is well cut out, given the display a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, and the smartphone getting about 83.4% screen-to-ratio.
Camera and Battery
In terms of camera, the latest Phantom 9 is equipped with a better and more powerful camera than the dual camera on the Tecno Phantom 8. The device is given a triple rear camera setup which contains a 16MP main shooter with quad-LED and PDAF, a 2MP depth sensor, and a wide-angle 8MP camera. These cameras work in great harmony to deliver perfect photo shots. The single 32MP selfie camera on the front reminds me of the latest Infinix Hot S4. The two smartphones come with the same selfie camera pixel, capable of taking impressive selfies. There is also a perfectly arranged dual-LED flash just above the bezels on top of the display.
For power, the device is fueled by a fair battery capacity of 3,500mAh with a fast charging technology for fast battery top-up.

The new Phantom 9 smartphone runs smoothly on an Octa-core MediaTek MT6765 Helio P35 SoC pegged at 2.35GHz. There is PowerVR GE8322 GPU integrated onboard the device, tagged with 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage to ensure you get enough storage and lag-free performance. The storage can also be expanded up to 500GB via MicroSD card.
The phone also comes with Android 9.0 Pie based on the latest HiOS v5.0 skin. It supports dual 4G enabled SIM for fast browsing.
Tecno Phantom 9 Price in Nigeria
The expected price of the Phantom 9 Android smartphone has been rumored to around $213 which is approximately N77,000 in Nigeria. The phone will be available for purchase starting from this week or next week.
