Looking for a new phone can feel like a hugely daunting task. There are so many similarities between different brands and models that it can be difficult to choose! There is a lot to keep in mind when choosing, and the best phone, in general, might not be the best phone for you. It’s one of the most well-used and important gadgets in today’s world which makes choosing your new phone a big decision. Think about what features are most important to you while reading through some of our top picks for 2022 – Whether you’re looking for a new phone with a great camera, large memory, or a great interface that makes it easy to view fast withdrawal casinos, these are the best new phones of 2022.

Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra

Samsung Galaxy phones have long been market leaders; Samsung packs their phones full of the best in innovative tech that other brands are often quick to copy. The S22 Ultra is the latest in a long line of great releases and is possibly the best phone on the market to date. It features a 6.8-inch screen with a stunning 1440p resolution. It’s got a huge battery, the same amount of RAM as most modern computers and potentially the highest quality camera to ever be installed on a smartphone, clocking in at an impressive 108 megapixel and a 40-megapixel front-facing camera. The S22 Ultra definitely isn’t cheap, but it’s absolutely worth the investment!

OnePlus 10 Pro

If you’re looking for a great all-rounder on a budget then the OnePlus 10 Pro could offer the ideal solution. It comes with the same generous battery size, processor, RAM and screen resolution as the S22 Ultra, although the camera resolution is a little more modest at 48MP and 32MP respectively.  If you’re looking for a powerful phone to stand the test of time and you’re not a hardcore phone photographer then the OnePlus 10 Pro offers superb value for money.

Oppo Find X5 Pro

Oppo is a fairly new player in the smartphone market but they’ve been making a splash with their bold claims, flashy ads and lavish influencer partnerships. They’re not all talk though, as the Find X5 has received great feedback to date; they’ve positioned themselves as the stylish option with an Instagram-worthy iridescent casing. Like the OnePlus and Samsung entries, it has the same screen size and resolution, RAM and battery size. Rather bizarrely for a phone that’s being promoted by influencers, most reviews mention the disappointing camera – it’s 50MP and the ultra-wide mode is stunning, but the zoom produces poor-quality pixelated photos. It’s great if you want a pretty phone that’s highly customisable, not so much if you’re planning to take photos on max zoom at gigs.

Xiaomi 12 Pro

The Xiaomi 12 Pro has been hailed for its blink-and-you’ll-miss-it loading times. It’s highly customisable with multiple options, from varying amounts of RAM to the amount of storage you need. It has three rear lenses, all with 50MP sensors behind them, and a 32MP front camera. Xiaomi have produced some of the best phones on the market for years now, and 2022 doesn’t seem to be any different. The only letdown is the Xiaomi-customised Android version, which is a letdown for Android purists. Other than that, it’s a top-quality phone with a great price tag!

Google Pixel 6

Google phones have increased in popularity over recent years and when you see the capabilities of the Google Pixel 6 it is easy to see why. For those that want a decent all-rounder phone with an incredible camera, then the 50-megapixel camera with a wide-angle lens is likely to tick a few of your boxes. It’s not the cheapest on the market but not the most expensive by any means and for the average price tag it has, it has a decent set of specs including 8GB ram and a camera with several modes including Night Sight and Magic Eraser.

What Happened to Apple?

One of the brands most noticeable in their absence is Apple. Put simply, they’ve coasted on brand loyalty for years. Each new release is a step behind Samsung’s S series, they have a history of ripping-off Samsung’s ideas one or two generations later and several components in iPhones are actually manufactured by Samsung, meaning you’re only paying extra for the iOS platform and the branding. Having said that, the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max are solid offerings if you’re a die-hard Apple fan. The latest iPhone generation offers up to 1TB of internal storage, and two screen size options. However, the battery size is disappointing at almost 2000mAH less than all others on this list, it only has 6GB of RAM and each camera is only 12MP. If you refuse to switch allegiance then the iPhone 13 Pro is one of the best iPhone releases to date, but it’s still woefully behind every other phone on the market today.

Choosing A New Smartphone

Much like laptops and other electronics, laptops have come on leaps and bounds over recent years which means that they’re more capable than ever. This is great news because it means that whatever you’re looking for, you should be able to find a smartphone that suits you. In fact, even if you’re looking for a very simple smartphone you’ll be able to find ones that suit your needs. However, with so many on the market and so many big-name brands throwing their hat into the ring, it can be hard to decide which smartphone is best for you.

Firstly, it is important to remember that everyone has different needs and likes. Just because someone says their phone is the best doesn’t mean it is going to be the best suited to you and your needs. Instead, take some time to think about what features are a must for a smartphone for you and then start to research which smartphones on the market tick the boxes. Once you have narrowed it down to a few smartphones you can then spend some time reading reviews and checking customer feedback to make sure the one you want is of the quality that you need.
