Xiaomi will be launching a new powerful flagship Android smartphone called Xiaomi Mi 9 Explorer Edition on late March 2019. The upcoming smartphone will be armed with a huge 48-megapixel camera and a 6.39-inch display.
This is coming few weeks after the launch of the regular Xiaomi Mi 9 which remains one of the best Android smartphones we’ve seen this year. The Mi 9 Explorer Edition, according to Xiaomi’s Product Director Wang Teng Thomas will feature an 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal space to cater for Mi 9 users who desire more RAM.

Xiaomi Mi 9 Explorer Edition has the same features as the regular Mi 9, except the extra RAM and the 48MP rear camera with 7P lens. The phone comes with a notched Super AMOLED FHD+ display with Snapdragon 855 chip. The upcoming Android smartphone has a 20MP front shooter, just as the regular Mi 9 and will be available in 8GB and 12GB RAM variants.
This model would fit between the regular Mi 9 and the top 12GB/256GB Explorer Edition. Speculations currently point to a late March release and a CNY 3,599 ($535 / €475) price tag.
